Kruger National Park
One of the largest game parks in the world
The KRUGER NATIONAL PARK lies in the north-east of South Africa, and is one of the largest national parks in the world.
All the BIG 5 game animals are found at Kruger National Park, which has more species of large mammals than any other African game reserve. Kruger supports packs of the endangered African Wild Dog, of which there are thought to be only about 400 in the whole of South Africa.
- Most rest camps have retail facilities where basic supplies can be purchased should you wish to prepare your own meals.
- Barbecue facilites (Cadac gas braai), are provided at all sites. Some have a tuck shop where snacks, soft drinks and wood can be purchased.
- Bush breakfasts; bush braais (BBQ); boma braais can be enjoyed. You would need to make a booking for these meals at the various rest camps.
- Cafeterias are available at the rest camps where you can enjoy a quick breakfast, light lunches such as salads, pastas and burgers.
- For a real treat you can have dinner at one of the well-appointed restaurants in the rest camps. Whilst unwinding and enjoying a refreshing drink, your delicious meal will be prepared for you. The menu offers an array of meals ranging from calamari to open flame char-grilled rumps, ribs, venison steaks and much more.
