There is an abundance of things to see and do in South Africa’s cities.  CAPE TOWN  is a vibrant  and buzzing city, constantly topping lists of best places to visit in South Africa.   JOHANNESBURG, also known as Jo’burg / City of Gold, is a creative and trendy “must-see” city.  DURBAN, with its friendly, laid back atmosphere and strong Indian influence, gives this city a unique charm. GQEBERHA also known as Port Elizabeth,  Nelson Mandela Bay and the “windy city”, is known for its historic city centre, charming architecture and has a relaxing, but upbeat atmosphere. 

Cape Town

CAPE TOWN is known as a family friendly city, set between mountains and the sea.  The famous Table Mountain is listed as one of the new 7 Wonders of Nature, and in 2019 Cape Town was voted the 7th most beautiful city in the world.  Exciting activities for every member of your family abound in and around the city. 

Cape Town & Surrounds Wine Estates

The beautiful Cape Winelands is an area that you need to visit. This wine region is home to some of the world’s most popular wines, and the wine tastings are absolutely superb. Many of the wine estates boast world class restaurants. Picnics can also be pre-ordered. Kids play/activity areas are available at most of the wine estates. 

 

 

Durban

DURBAN is famous for it’s beautiful beaches and warm Indian Ocean, and has much to offer the whole family.  uShaka Marine World is a must, and the Beachfront Amusement Park has tons of fun to offer.  Durban is also a leading destination for surfers. 

Johannesburg

JOHANNESBURG is South Africa’s largest city,  and boasts a rich cultural life together with a great selection of family outings, that will keep the kids (and adults) happy for hours.

Gqeberha (previously Port Elizabeth)

GQEBERHA – the Friendly City, the Windy City, Nelson Mandela Bay, good old PE… Call it what you will, this is a great spot for family vacations.
